劍橋大學(Cambridge)
成立于1209年，世界十大學府之一，73位諾貝爾獎得主出自此校，實行學院制，下設35所學院。是世界最早成立工程系的大學之一，也是劍橋大?學眾多文理科系中最大的一個，有125年的歷史，電子工程系設有很多研究小組，包括光學研究、電子設備和原料研究、電子和能量轉換研究、科學成像、多晶硅?薄膜精力管研究等，因特爾、諾基亞公司在劍橋開設實驗室。cam的ee不是很全面，側重在?tecommunication方向，network比較強，也有sas方向，主要偏通信。另外他的cs也有幾塊network和安全方面的研究，值得留?意。
南安普頓大學(University?of?Southampton)
位于英國南部，綜合排名28，專業(yè)排名1。此大學工程類課程無論是本科或碩士都很強，engineering都很牛，不單單是ee。通信，光通?信，微電子技術等在電子專業(yè)中最好，申請此類大學應該考慮學生自身學習成績及專業(yè)認可度。如果學生對英國學校的了解是從排名上來的，那么選擇這所學校的學?生也未必多。

位于蘇格蘭，綜合排名第5，專業(yè)排名9，傳統(tǒng)的ee強校，電子工程類課程可供選擇類別較多微電子技術，通訊光纜，電子通信，微電，power全部都有。ed的ee是以sas(signal?&?signal)最為有名的。peter?grant現在蘇格蘭把smc(scottish?microelectronics?center)設在ed，又多了一個凈化樓，做一些微電最底層的東西。
